Courage Kenny Psychological Associates – Leo the Therapy Dog | Thanks to trainer Elizabeth Louis, there’s been a Therapy dog at Courage Kenny in Golden Valley for a number of years. Leo is the latest in a series of dogs that can help residents and out-patients move through the healing process by creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute – U of MN Adaptive Sports Expo | Courage Kenny and the University of Minnesota combined efforts to create a new and hopefully annual Sports Expo allowing groups who provide recreational activities to showcase their efforts to those who have adaptive needs. The Courage Kenny team asked SharkBait to document the day.

The Courage Kenny Foundation – Celebration of Courage Event 2018 | Each year, the Courage Kenny Foundation hosts a major fundraiser to support the clients and programs of the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. “Ethan’s Story” was the 2018 centerpiece and  shares the difficulties and triumphs of a young client with Spina Bifada who just wants to have a normal, active life.

 

The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute – Adaptive Sports and Recreation | Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s Sports and Recreation programs offer an abundance of activities that encourage youth and adults with disabilities to lead active and healthy lifestyles. In this video, we covered the wide variety of year-round sports the the Sports and Rec program offers as well as meeting many of the amazing participants.

Mayo Clinic News Network (Rochester, MN) | The world renowned Mayo Clinic provides journalists and the public medical information through its Mayo Clinic News Network. SharkBait Productions was called on to be a part of this team of dedicated story-tellers, Producers and Photo-journalists to create compelling and informative pieces and to tell patient stories like “Big Steps for Amarachi”. This vibrant girl from Africa was born with Blount’s Disease which deforms the large bones of the legs. A team of Orthopedic surgeons worked to straighten Amarachi’s legs and now she can return to a full life without the challenges of this horrible disease.


The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute – St.Croix
| specializes in rehabilitation services for children, teens, adults and seniors dealing with neurological conditions such as a brain injury, orthopedic issues, chronic pain or autism spectrum disorders. Each year CKRI hosts a breakfast for community members. This year CKRI wanted to highlight its growth by telling the story of a young woman who has been a client since the beginning. “Libby’s Story” shows how, with the help of Courage Kenny staff, a little girl with Cerebral Palsy can grow into a vibrant, active young woman.

Peaceful Passing for Pets | This small, local 501(c)3 organization has the mission to ensure that pet owners, the veterinary professional team and the hospice professional team are provided the resources and practical tools to make sure that every pet with a terminal condition will have the opportunity to receive compassionate, coordinated hospice care in their home. In this case, SharkBait worked on a pro-bono basis to assemble the components the client had already found. The result was a simple but profound statement for pet owners and donors to the organization.

SEA LIFE Minnesota | A division of Merlin Entertainments, SEA LIFE Aquariums are a worldwide aquarium brand offering immersive, family oriented experiences in magical underwater exhibits. Recently, SEA LIFE Minnesota at the Mall of America, asked SharkBait Productions to document the arrival and introduction of 20 Cow-nosed Rays to the new touch pool display. Here’s a portion of the VNR that SharkBait created.

The Colon Cancer Coalition | This 501(C)3 organization started with the planning of the first Get Your Rear in Gear 5K race in the fall of 2004 and gained traction with the success of that first event in March 2005. Working from their successful model in the Twin Cities, they created a network of events that build awareness about Colon and Rectal Cancer throughout the country. In 2011, SharkBait worked with them to create a generic PSA that could then be quickly adapted to promote their races in markets across the country. In 2014, the Colon Cancer Coalition asked for updated footage and this is the result.

SeaChange Print Innovations | SeaChange seeks to approach printing in a new and smarter way. Since launching in March 2014, SeaChange Print Innovations has been busy finding new ways to transform every customer’s print, structural design, packaging, kitting, mailing, fulfillment and digital media needs by offering refreshing solutions. One of SeaChange’s major areas of support is to election boards across the world and they needed a video to demonstrate the knowledge, attention to detail and customer service that SeaChange brings to this unique market.

The Penny George Institute for Health and Healing | Whether you aim to get fit, manage pain or heal from an illness, the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing can help using a holistic approach that focuses on the mind, body and spirit. Recently, the Penny George Institute called on SharkBait Productions through Allina Creative Services after seeing Courage Kenny’s video called “Alex’s Story”. This time they wanted to tell “Rebecca’s Story” about how they helped a first time mother struggling with pain to heal and grow into motherhood.

Eurosport (Discovery Communications) | This network of channels is available in 54 countries, in 20 different languages and provides viewers with European and international sporting events across the globe. When they needed production services for an interview and cover footage of cycling legend Greg LeMond at his home for his program “LeMond on Cycling”,  SharkBait was a natural choice both for its ability to conduct the interviews and overcome format issues between USA and European broadcast standards.

Minnesota FC United NASL Pro Soccer Team |  MN FC United and their Sponsor Partners, Minnesota Equipment Solutions needed a fun, detailed and fast moving 30 second broadcast spot to highlight the partnership between the soccer players and the turf management team. And, they needed it shot, edited and ready for air in 3 days! SharkBait stepped up and the result exceeded everyone’s expectations.


The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute
| specializes in rehabilitation services for children, teens, adults and seniors dealing with neurological conditions such as a brain injury, orthopedic issues, chronic pain or autism spectrum disorders. CKRI serves more than 28,000 clients annually by providing inpatient, outpatient and community-based medical rehabilitation services. Recently, SharkBait teamed with the Allina Creative Services team to create a video for CKRI’s “Celebration of Courage event. The result was “Alex’s Story” in which SharkBait did the location shooting, interviewing and primary story-telling/editing.

And again in 2014, Allina and the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute called on SharkBait to help them tell the story of Rob Wudlick and his recovery from injuries sustained on a rafting trip.

LifeSource | LifeSource is the federally designated, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation in the Upper Midwest. In the Spring of 2009, LifeSource set the goal of increasing the level of donor designation in men ages 45-65 from 47 to 50 percent through a promotional campaign based solely on social media communication and live events, and supported by website content, with no paid advertising. In support of the larger campaign, SharkBait developed this Emmy Award winning, eight part series of on-line PSAs to show the everyday influence of transplantation.

Read Indeed | is a 501(C)3 nonprofit literacy organization and the vision of Maria Keller, a book-loving 5th grader who wants to make the world a better place—one book at a time. Maria wants to collect and distribute 1 million books to needy kids by the time she’s 18. She began collecting books when she was 8 years old and has touched the lives of thousands of children around the world. For their 2013 Gala, SharkBait worked in collaboration with Jeff Olson of Kool108 to produce this piece which helped raise more than $28,000.

Merrick Inc. | Merrick, Inc., is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, licensed by the Department of Human Services to provide: Day Training and Habilitation (DT&H), Supported Employment (SES), and Adult Day Services (ADS). It offers a variety of meaningful work options, life enrichment activities, and therapeutic programs to over 375 adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) at our energy efficient facility in Vadnais Heights and our newly renovated space in North St. Paul. In 2013, SharkBait worked with one of Merrick’s clients to tell her story for their annual gala.

In 2014, SharkBait Productions was asked to tell the story of the Merrick work crews. These are Merrick clients who go out into local businesses as employees and return home with a greater sense of self worth.

Salvation Army – Northern Division | HeatShare is a Salvation Army program that provides emergency utility assistance for people with no place left to turn. The program is funded in part by Salvation Army donors and customers of local utility companies. Funds are typically used to pay for natural gas, oil, propane, wood, electricity and emergency furnace repairs. Funded by a local utility, “Kormasah’s Story” promotes the value of this program through the empathetic telling of the story of one mother who turned the corner on poverty thanks to HeatShare.

Salvation Army – Northern Division | “The Most Amazing Race” is just one of the Salvation Army’s innovative fund and awareness raising programs. Run as an event in conjunction with the Minneapolis Aquatennial, this race has become a favorite competition for participants, sponsors and volunteers. SharkBait Productions has proudly worked to produce these recap videos and promotional PSAs.

Cultivate Courage Communications! | Dave Cornell is a certified coach through Lifeforming Leadership, a certified DISC trainer and facilitator and, in addition to operating BBG Communications a Senior Trainer/Coach with The Trust Edge. Dave had several hours of video from one of his engagements and he needed a new video for his website. He turned to SharkBait to edit a piece that would show how he engaged and enthralled audiences.
